Isolde Martyn is known for her historical novels. Her favourite era is the Wars of the Roses and she is currently working on a new book set in that time.

Isolde's books are published in the USA, Australia and Germany and her debut novel The Maiden and the Unicorn about a real woman spy in the fifteenth century won her the prestigious Rita award for 'Best First Novel 2000' in America as well as the inaugural 'Romantic Novel of the Year' Award in Australia.
